Melville welcome all intending and past players for the 2020 season.
Pre-season for returning and aspiring Melville United northern league players will start on Tuesday February 4 at 6.30pm at Gower Park (clubrooms end). Intending players should bring bring boots, training shoes and a water bottle.
Men’s training will continue on Wednesday Feb 5 at the Sandleigh Rd end of Gower Park (with 6-a-side on at the clubrooms end) while no session will be held on Feb 6 because of Waitangi day.
Training will then continue on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through February and March.
New first team coaches Ian McGrath (Ph 021 521963) and assistant Aaron Scott welcome ambitious players. Ian can be contacted on 021 521-963. Several new signings have already committed to Melville for 2020.
Reserve and federation level training will also start on Tuesday February 4. Merv Williams, Wytse Bouma and Zeya Hussaini will be coaching Melville Reserves in 2020. An announcement on the WaiBOP Premiership team will be made shortly.
Women’s first team training will commence on Wednesday January 29 at 6.30pm at Gower Park No 5, contact Laichyn Parkinson, Ph 027 8348792
Training for other women’s teams will begin on February 12 at 6pm.
All players will need to re-register for the 2020 season (men’s first team squad members who are exempt from paying subs will be registered in conjunction with team management).
For senior players subscription fees for 2020 must be paid when registering on-line, or manually over the bar. It is not possible to register on-line without paying your subs.

# Under the draft 2020 northern league draw Melville are at home to Central United in the first round on March 28, and then away to Eastern Suburbs on April 4.
They have a home game against Onehunga Sports on Good Friday and then face Wanderers at Porritt on Easter Monday.
