Mighty Melville premier women displayed all their goalscoring prowess as they hammered Central United 8-0 away in the northern league championship, with 15-year-old Mia Humphrey leading the way with five goals.
It was Melville's biggest win of the season and meant they remain six points clear at the top of the table with a goal difference of 32 - 12 better than their nearest rivals.
After skipper Rebecca Brown opened the scoring with a fifth-minute header at Kiwitea St, Melville ran riot in the next 25 minutes, racking up a further five goals, with four of them going to Humphrey and one to Laura Bennett.

In the second half there was one further goal to Humphrey and one to the returning Lola Williams, who came off the bench in the 55th minute for her fourth of the season.
It was just the fourth start of the season for Humphrey - a New Zealand Secondary School Girls U16 rep - and took her goal tally to eight, six behind Bennett.

Melville statistician Ron Anorak reported that in overall league golden boot standings 16-year-old Bennett is second, five behind leader Britney Cunningham-Lee (Franklin United) who has 19, while Humphrey is now fifth.
It equalled the best single match goal haul by a Melville woman at northern league level set by Laura Bennett's five-goal haul against Manukau United away last season. Humphrey's previous best return was also in that same match, with three goals.
Melville women are at home to Cambridge at 1pm on Sunday (June 29).
