Melville recorded their best away win of the northern league season with a 6-2 trouncing of bottom-placed Manurewa.
Feature of a generally pleasing day for Melville was a hat trick from Welshman Josh Davies, which started as early at the first minute and ended with an excellent second half free kick.
Wade Molony opened his account for Melville while the other goals came from Jama Boss and substitute Lebon Bulamba scored a second half stunner from distance.
On the debit side Mark Jones departed early with another hamstring injury.
Flynn O’Brien did not play with Liam Hayes joining the back three, where he was named man of the match.
