Call for Melville 6-a-side entries
We are once again calling for entries for Melville United AFC’s summer twilight 6-a-side football, contested on Wednesday evenings at Gower Park, Alison Street, Hamilton.
Entry deadline is October 3, and we again expect to be fully subscribed. In the event of Melville being unable to accommodate everyone, preference will be given to previous entrants who have a good track record of behaviour, organisation, and post-match socialising.
The competition will start on October 11, 2017 and run to December 20, and from January 17-February 14, 2018.
The first two evenings will be for friendly matches, after which teams will be graded into leagues.
Entrants must complete and return the form to the address supplied by October 3, along with the entry fee of $370 (including GST) to be direct credited, leaving your team name as a reference.

The top two division teams will be allowed a maximum of two registered (Saturday) players on the field at any one time.
B division teams will be allowed one registered player on the field at any one time.
C division teams will be allowed no registered players, except through dispensation from tournament organisers.
(Players over 40, or females, do not count as registered players).
Remember that a least one female must be on the field at any given time during the game.
Only sandshoes or turf shoes (with soft pliable rubber studs) will be acceptable footwear. This is for everyone’s safety. Football boots are not acceptable because of the risk to businesshouse players who do not have shin pads. Please make your players aware of this.
We hope to see all our regular teams back at Melville again this year, for what we hope will be another excellent 6-a-side competition.
We do remind teams this is a SOCIAL competition, not the CUP Final, and their on-field and off-field conduct should reflect that at all times.
A reminder also that the bar is open afterwards for what is essentially a social competition.
